Thrifting is a concept practised in India over centuries and got rediscovered in Western culture since the last 50 years. In the 4 Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle & Reimagine), Thrifting specifically talks about REUSE. To promote the means and methods of REUSE in our busy lives, Thrift Day has been conceived. It creates an opportunity to bring all people walking the alternative path together.
A few like-minded souls came together and organized one such Thrift Day on 3rd Jan 2026 at the Prakriti Store. It turned out to be an event that disproved the belief that Pomp & Splendour in Life need to be carbon-heavy. It was a carnival that brought together people of different age, class and creed. The event organizers ensured that there's no shortage of Fun & frolic. From DIY workshops to yummy vadas, it had all the ingredients for a Happy Day!
