When Sunita offered us a stall at her book release function, this was the best excuse to redo our home gardening section. We had to procure more tools, neem oil & cake, vermicompost, more seeds. Shopping is always good as we get to explore new things to make available for people’s convenience.
We are listed in “Rooted in Mysuru”, one of the three books released on September 19th, 2026.
At the stall, we had for display cum sale, tools with wooden handles (many varieties), vermicompost, cocopeat, pot mix, neem cake, neem oil, bio-blocks, seeds & saplings. Got to interact with a lot of people who walked and looked at what was for display that they may need for their home gardens. Energy levels were high. As a team, it was so good to be doing this together.
Alongside, we had Phaneesh displaying and selling all three books that were released in the evening.
Sita has really picked it well when we say only bio-degradable waste to be generated in the most minimum quantities. Served on paper plates and paper cups.On the table we had tasty lime juice, chaklis, sesame laddoo and banana - a treat it was!
It was the combination of Sunita’s choices – the puzzles pieces fit so well together that it will stay in our minds as a memorable evening.

ಸುಮಿತಾ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಗೆ ಒಂದು ಮಳಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದಾಗ, ನಮ್ಮ ಮನೆ ತೋಟಗಾರಿಕೆ ವಿಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಸಜ್ಜುಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಅದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಕಾರಣ ಬೇಕಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ!
ನಾವು ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ತೋಟಗಾರಿಕಾ ಉಪಕರಣಗಳು, ಬೇವಿನ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬೇವಿನ ಹಿಂಡಿ, ಎರೆಹುಳು ಗೊಬ್ಬರ ಹಾಗೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಬೀಜಗಳನ್ನು ತರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾಯಿತು. ಹೊಸ ಹೊಸ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿ, ಜನರ ಅನುಕೂಲಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು ನಮಗೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುವುದರಿಂದ, ಶಾಪಿಂಗ್ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಸಂತೋಷದ ಅನುಭವವೇ!
2026ರ ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 19ರಂದು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾದ ಮೂರು ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾದ “Rooted in Mysuru” ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರೂ ಇದೆ.
ಮಳಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾರಾಟ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮರದ ಹಿಡಿಕೆಗಳಿರುವ ವಿವಿಧ ರೀತಿಯ ತೋಟಗಾರಿಕಾ ಉಪಕರಣಗಳು, ಎರೆಹುಳು ಗೊಬ್ಬರ, ಕೊಕೊಪೀಟ್, ಪಾಟ್ ಮಿಕ್ಸ್, ಬೇವಿನ ಹಿಂಡಿ, ಬೇವಿನ ಎಣ್ಣೆ, ಬಯೋ-ಬ್ಲಾಕ್‌ಗಳು, ಬೀಜಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೆವು.
ತಮ್ಮ ಮನೆ ತೋಟಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೇಕಾಗಬಹುದಾದ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಲು ಬಂದ ಅನೇಕ ಜನರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಚಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಅವಕಾಶ ದೊರೆಯಿತು. ಎಲ್ಲೆಡೆ ಉತ್ಸಾಹದ ವಾತಾವರಣವಿತ್ತು. ಒಂದು ತಂಡವಾಗಿ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ತುಂಬಾ ಸಂತೋಷದ ಅನುಭವವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಇದರ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲೇ, ಸಂಜೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾದ ಮೂರು ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನೂ ಫಣೀಶ್ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿ ಮಾರಾಟ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
ಕೇವಲ ಜೈವಿಕವಾಗಿ ವಿಘಟಿಸಬಹುದಾದ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನೇ, ಅದೂ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದಷ್ಟು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ಪಾದಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ನಾವು ಹೇಳುವಾಗ, ಸೀತಾ ಅದನ್ನು ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.
ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಕಾಗದದ ತಟ್ಟೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಗದದ ಕಪ್‌ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಮೇಜಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ರುಚಿಯಾದ ನಿಂಬೆಹಣ್ಣಿನ ಪಾನೀಯ, ಚಕ್ಕುಲಿ, ಎಳ್ಳಿನ ಉಂಡೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬಾಳೆಹಣ್ಣು — ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಒಂದು ಸವಿಯಾದ ಆತಿಥ್ಯವೇ ಆಗಿತ್ತು!
ಸುಮಿತಾ ಅವರ ಆಯ್ಕೆಗಳ ಸುಂದರ ಸಂಯೋಜನೆಯೇ ಈ ಸಂಜೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿಸಿತು. ಎಲ್ಲ ಪಜಲ್ ತುಣುಕುಗಳೂ ಒಂದಕ್ಕೊಂದು ಅಚ್ಚುಕಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಂಡಂತೆ, ಈ ಸಂಜೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಮರೆಯಲಾಗದ ನೆನಪಾಗಿ ಉಳಿಯಲಿದೆ.
