Reducing our carbon footprint through a minimalistic approach in every aspect of our business is something we are proud of.

To reduce the waste, we work with voluntary organizations and people in need to ensure that the unsold vegetables find a proper home and become a meal, instead of wasted. If not a human, then a cow. If not a cow, then to the soil has been our mantra.

At Prakriti Food, we ensure reusability through a series of interventions:

• We use reusable cloth bags for packing cereals/pulses weighing above 5 kg.
• We promote reusability by offering discounts to customers who bring their own containers for shopping at Prakriti Food.
• We maintain a few bottles & bags at the store for those regular & friendly shoppers who couldn't get their own bags.

The foundational principle of Nature is recycling. Everything gets recycled and Humans are the only life forms who have invented waste on this planet.

At Prakriti Food, we promote composting bins and handhold first time home composters to ensure waste gets recycled at the household level itself.

The daily waste at the store gets segregated in red and green containers and handed over to the corporation to ensure proper recycling.

Especially those of us who have crossed into 40s and above require to re-engineer our minds to think differently and RETHINK the way we consume and produce. We are proud of having an evolutionary mindset at Prakriti and we, as a business have experimented and evolved in all of these 13+ years.
