For us, “organic” is about making everyday choices that respect Mother Earth, the labour and time of farmers, locally grown varieties, and chemical-free produce with shorter, transparent supply chains. It means choosing seeds that are not genetically modified. We can surely say that we sell only what we would feed our own families. ನಮಗೆ “ಸಾವಯವ” ಎಂಬುದು ಭೂತಾಯಿ, ರೈತರ ಶ್ರಮ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಯ, ಸ್ಥಳೀಯವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆದ ತಳಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಅವಧಿಯ, ಪಾರದರ್ಶಕ ಪೂರೈಕೆ ಸರಪಳಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ರಾಸಾಯನಿಕ ಮುಕ್ತ ಉತ್ಪನ್ನಗಳನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸುವ ಪ್ರತಿದಿನದ ಆಯ್ಕೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಜಿಎಂಒ (GMO) ಮುಕ್ತ ಬೀಜಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಿಸುವುದು ಇದರ ಅರ್ಥ. ನಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ನಾವು ಏನು ನೀಡುತ್ತೇವೆಯೋ ಅದನ್ನೇ ನಾವು ಮಾರಾಟ ಮಾಡಲು ಇಷ್ಟ ಪಡುತ್ತೇವೆ.

Functioned as a small store in a car garage in VV Mohalla, in collaboration with BG Jayachandra and Anand. ವಿವಿ ಮೊಹಲ್ಲಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರು ಗ್ಯಾರೇಜ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಜಿ ಜಯಚಂದ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಆನಂದ್ ಅವರ ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಣ್ಣ ಅಂಗಡಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

Our procurement policy is based on the following principles: ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಣಾ ನೀತಿಯು ಈ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ತತ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಆಧರಿಸಿದೆ:

We strive to identify & bring good Organic produce to earnest consumers from little known farmers & communities in and around Mysore. ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಸಣ್ಣ ರೈತರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಮುದಾಯಗಳಿಂದ ಉತ್ತಮ ಸಾವಯವ ಉತ್ಪನ್ನಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ ಗ್ರಾಹಕರಿಗೆ ತರಲು ನಾವು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.

We prefer PGS Certifications, as we believe in Trust more than certifications. We procure from either farmers directly or from NGOs who act as a bridge between the producers and consumers. ನಾವು ರೈತರಿಂದ ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಅಥವಾ ಉತ್ಪಾದಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಗ್ರಾಹಕರ ನಡುವೆ ಸೇತುವೆಯಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವ ಎನ್‌ಜಿಒಗಳಿಂದ (NGO) ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.

Storage ಶೇಖರಣೆ

We believe STORAGE is an important aspect in 'being organic'. 'ಸಾವಯವ'ವಾಗಿರುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಶೇಖರಣೆಯು ಒಂದು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಅಂಶವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನಾವು ನಂಬುತ್ತೇವೆ.
We intend to unearth the old customs in storing food items without losing its nutritional value. ಆಹಾರ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳ ಪೌಷ್ಠಿಕಾಂಶದ ಮೌಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳದಂತೆ ಹಳೆಯ ಪದ್ಧತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮರುಶೋಧಿಸುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಉದ್ದೇಶ.
Glass being the most inert material for storage purposes, we have sourced big glass jars for storing grains, pulses etc. Whenever we are forced to use plastics, either we choose the highest grade available in the market (like Tupperware) or look for alternatives like silica, rubber based items. ಗಾಜು ಶೇಖರಣೆಗೆ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ವಸ್ತುವಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ಧಾನ್ಯಗಳು, ಬೇಳೆಕಾಳುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಲು ನಾವು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗಾಜಿನ ಜಾಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಪ್ಲಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯವಾದಾಗ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಪ್ಲಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ಅಥವಾ ಸಿಲಿಕಾ, ರಬ್ಬರ್ ಆಧಾರಿತ ಪರ್ಯಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತೇವೆ.

While much has been talked about the Fair Price Model, its implementations are multi-hued and customized - as per the situation. ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೈತಿಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮುನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸ್ತವತೆಯನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಬೆಲೆ ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ರೂಪಿಸುವುದು? ನ್ಯಾಯಯುತ ಬೆಲೆ ಮಾದರಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಚರ್ಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ಇದರ ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನಗಳು ಸಂದರ್ಭಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆ ಬದಲಾಗುತ್ತವೆ.

For a social enterprise like Prakriti, profit is one among the guiding principles. Prakriti believes Inclusive Growth in society is business's responsibility. This would mean, Prakriti prioritizes local small farmers' produce over Industrial produce.
