Subid conducted a two-day workshop with the children at Punarchith office in Nagavalli.
The main idea behind these activities is to understand the principle of non-violence in today's environmental context, to live without harming nature by reducing waste and recycling.
On the first day, the children made toys using commonly discarded materials. They made a whistle using plastic bottle caps and a torn balloon. They made various shapes from paper, made paper fans, fish, origami birds and paper hats/caps. They also made paper spinning toys.
On the second day, the children did more different activities. They made wind chimes, butterflies, puppets, boats etc. from paper. They also made wind-up toys using plastic bottles and CD cassettes. They also made different types of paper and waste materials.
The children spent these two days enthusiastically trying new things, making and playing with their hands.

ಸುಬಿದ್ ಅವರು ನಾಗವಲ್ಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪುನರ್ಚಿತ್ ಕಚೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದರು.
ಈ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಉದ್ದೇಶವೆಂದರೆ ಇಂದಿನ ಪರಿಸರ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಹಿಂಸೆಯ ತತ್ವವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು, ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಮರುಬಳಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಗೆ ಹಾನಿಯಾಗದಂತೆ ಬದುಕುವುದು.
ಮೊದಲ ದಿನ, ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ತ್ಯಜಿಸಿದ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿ ಆಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರು ಪ್ಲಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ಬಾಟಲ್ ಕ್ಯಾಪ್‌ಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಹರಿದ ಬಲೂನ್ ಬಳಸಿ ಸೀಟಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಅವರು ಕಾಗದದಿಂದ ವಿವಿಧ ಆಕಾರಗಳನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸಿದರು, ಕಾಗದದ ಫ್ಯಾನ್‌ಗಳು, ಮೀನು, ಒರಿಗಮಿ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಗದದ ಟೋಪಿಗಳು/ಕ್ಯಾಪ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರು ಕಾಗದದ ನೂಲುವ ಆಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ತಯಾರಿಸಿದರು.
ಎರಡನೇ ದಿನ, ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಿಭಿನ್ನ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಅವರು ಕಾಗದದಿಂದ ಗಾಳಿ ಚೈಮ್‌ಗಳು, ಚಿಟ್ಟೆಗಳು, ಬೊಂಬೆಗಳು, ದೋಣಿಗಳು ಇತ್ಯಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರು ಪ್ಲಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ಬಾಟಲಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಡಿ ಕ್ಯಾಸೆಟ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿ ಗಾಳಿ-ಅಪ್ ಆಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ತಯಾರಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರು ವಿವಿಧ ರೀತಿಯ ಕಾಗದ ಮತ್ತು ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ತಯಾರಿಸಿದರು.
ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಈ ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳನ್ನು ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಹೊಸ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳಿಂದ ತಯಾರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಮತ್ತು ಆಟವಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಕಳೆದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ ಅಭಿಲಾಷ್ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು.
