Parishrama Plantations

A decade back, as part of the Appachi cotton initiative, farmers were trained to grow organic vegetables as an inter crop for organic cotton cultivation. After the Appachi cotton business closed, the farmers were left in a lurch and Sri Dhanaraj, who was in charge of the field operations, decided to facilate trade for the farmers - mainly for his own survival in his hometown itself. He took the pains to aggregate the vegetables and transport it to Mysore and distribute it to organic stores. That initiative continues even today.

The farmers belong to the same region mainly around the Hand post area. Dhanaraj helps in procuring the seeds for the farmers and provide financial assistance to them as and when required.
